StubHub SXSW Photo Gallery
It was an action packed four days down at SXSW. StubHub employees interacted with tons of fans and delighted them with some of the best music at the festival at StubHub Live. Without further ado, here are some of our favorite photo moments from SXSW.
The photo booth we had on the terrace of StubHub Live was a huge hit. Over the course of the four days, more than 1000 users took photos and then shared them over Facebook, Twitter, email and MMS.
Robert DeLong – Our first performer at SXSW
Robert is a bit of a mad genius. He is a one-man band who literally played every instrument on the stage and used a Nintendo Wii controller as a musical instrument. We have interviews with most of the bands that performed for us this week, getting fans closer to their favorite artists and allowing them to discover new ones. Check out this great interview StubHub’s own Head of Social Media, RBH, got with Robert here.
StubHub Live at Old School
This was our central location at Old School Bar and Grill on 6th Street – the main drag during SXSW.
The Airborne Toxic Event
Lead singer Mikel Collett of the Airborne Toxic event literally climbed the furniture during his performance. In one of the best moments of the four days, their bassist Noah Harmon went onto the balcony of the venue so he could play for a woman in a wheelchair. The bands on Thursday, Irontom, Airborne Toxic Event, and Fitz & the Tantrums had such a good time that they each stayed to watch all the other shows. In fact, the guys from Irontom came back to the venue the next two days just to hang out.
Here’s a view of the crowd getting ready to watch Fitz & The Tantrums on Thursday. The guy in the front biting his nails is the lead singer of Irontom, Harry Hayes.
SXSW StubHub App
The SXSW update for the StubHub app was all over Austin, even on vans and pedicabs.
Jay, on the StubHub Social Media Team, gives a couple of fans a demo of the StubHub app update on the balcony of StubHub Live.
